cheap seeds
Just a heads up for cheap veggies seeds. Walmart had their veggie seeds packs on sale for 2 cents each today. They didn't have much but I bought them out. Maybe worth it to some people to check their local stores. Home Depots and Lowes should have theirs on sale also, I am going to check them out this weekend.

Re: cheap seeds
good score on the cheap seeds!
Remember that a lot of seeds that you get today will grow and produce fruit and vegetables, but if you save the seeds to replant the next year from these crops they will be less likely to produce well if they produce at all, then the following year you may not have anything produce. I would humbly suggest that you get some organic seeds to add to your storage as they are as nature intended, you can save seeds from year to year. I have always purchased from high mowing seeds http://highmowingseeds.com/ They have given me quality products. Once again great score on the two cent seeds, I will check my local stores as they would also make good trading stock to add to my collection of stuff! |
Re: cheap seeds
If those are the seeds that are cheap to start with, a lot of them are the old fashioned open varieties that you can save the seeds from every year. Check the variety name and whether or not it says hybrid. Either way, they will grow you a lot of great vegetables next year!

The seeds I planted this year had 2006 dates and I am having an absolute bumper crop... Keep them cool and dry. |
